Do you know what TPI is??

Titleist Performance Institute (aka TPI) is the world’s leading educational organisation dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to an individual’s golf swing.

TPI believes that golfers benefit most from a healthy and efficient body and whilst the the ‘most efficient’ swing is not the same for every golfer, identifying the most efficient swing for each unique individual is crucial not only for golf performance, but for health.

To achieve an efficient swing, a golfer must first be screened. This screen involves a physical assessment of biomechanics, joint ranges of motion and a current health and client history. Once this screen is completed, the results are used to create a plan. The plan may include fitness training, physical therapy treatment and coaching of swing mechanics.

“Take care of your body”

Over the past 16 years of working in this industry, I have continuously and consistently found that practicing good form when playing golf is invaluable and an investment worth making to prevent injury and enhance your performance!

Golf has always been a passion of mine. If I’m not out on the course myself, I’m helping my patient’s to get over injuries caused by sub-optimal swing style, perfect that extra 1% with elite players and prevent injuries occurring across the board.

I qualified with a Sports massage and Sports Therapy Diploma in 2008 and have vast experience across a number of different sporting disciplines having consulted in Physiotherapy clinics across Scotland, and over the last two seasons with Stormers Rugby and Bulls Rugby in the URC, as well as working with Motherwell FC. I love treating and coaching full time athletes as well as those at amateur or hobby level. I focus on Sports injuries, including shoulder issues, knee pain and mobility problems, and have pursued further training to assist in pain management. Localised cryotherapy is a key tool I use every day in clinic which has transformed the lives of hundreds of my patients, from those suffering from issues including joint pains caused by some forms of arthritis, muscle tears and circulation issues.

Now is the time for you to have your golf swing fine-tuned and stay injury free this season. To gain those extra few yards and drop a few handicap points get in touch with CoreHealth Chiropractic on 01292 502 292 where I consult on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.

See you soon!

Craig
