What does a leaky roof have to do with chiropractic care?
Over the past six weeks the UK has been hit by multiple storms, bringing high winds and more rain than you could shake a rainy stick at.
Our clinic building (thankfully!) hasn’t fallen too foul of these weather conditions, however we did find ourselves having to deal with a few pesky leaks.
What we knew was that:
We had a problem
What we didn’t know was:
What was causing the problem?
If it was serious?
What our options were to fix it?
How much would it cost to fix?
So we called in an expert……
Unfortunately, what ensued was one of the most frustrating conversations of my life. None of these questions were being answered!! As a non-roofing expert, the communication between us left me none the wiser, disempowered and ready to enrol in an online roofing course in order to grasp some understanding of how to solve this problem and keep us all dry. Well… not quite but I wasn’t far off of it!
This interaction all of a sudden made me consider how people might feel when attending a new healthcare practitioner for the first time.
If for example Jean decided to visit a chiropractor for lower back pain that she’s suffered with for the last five years, she already knows that she has a problem. She’ll want to know if it’s serious, what her options are for fixing it and how many treatments (i.e. the cost) it is likely to require to get her out of pain and back doing the activities she loves.
With all of this information she can then make an informed choice as to how she proceeds in order to reach a solution.

If we feel the cause is serious we can refer you to where you need to be, and if not we can give you honest advice on the options we can offer to get you feeling tip-top.
